Something as simple as tossing a coin can explain a lot about reinvestment. You will need just few minutes to see for yourself what we are talking about....

  RULES OF OUR GAME
 

We start the game with $ 100.- each.

You (not me) will toss a coin 40 times (instead of  tossing  a coin, just click on 'Toss', and the computer will do it for you).
I will accept the result of your tossed coin:
If it's heads, it's heads for you and for me. If it's tails, it's tails for you and for me. So where is the trick?? ......
There is no trick!... we allocate our money differently !

Each time you toss the coin (click on 'Toss') we will make our bets.
I will not know the amounts you bet, and you will not know the amounts I bet, until the end of the game.

... So the first bet, will be between 0$ and 100$.

Take care! don´t play your $100 in only one bet, you could loose all your money in this first bet!!...
For every flip of the coin:
HEADS we both WIN : our bet x 5
TAILS we both LOOSE : our bet x 1

For example: Imagine, in our first flip,  you bet 10$, you toss the coin and it comes up heads, so you win: 10$ x 5 = 50; now you have a total of 150$.
Next bet, our second flip,: you place, say, 12$, .. but it comes up tails, so you loose: 12$ x1 = 12$, you now have 138$.
Once the rules of our game are clear, ...LET´S PLAY !!
